Draft, pending legal review. This text describes what Locuit actually does and is written to be reviewed by a lawyer. It has not been yet.

1. What Locuit is

Locuit screens historical price data for stretches of the calendar in which a symbol has repeatedly moved the same way, and shows you what happened, how often, and by how much. These are records, not findings. A window is here because it moved the same way in every year on record and moved enough to trade, not because it passed a statistical test — at this search width almost nothing would, and a board built only from what survives one would be empty. Read the hit count and the held-out years, not a p-value.

It is a research and record-keeping tool. It is not a broker, it does not execute or route orders, and it holds no custody of any asset.

2. Locuit does not give investment advice

Nothing in Locuit is a recommendation, and nothing in it is personalised investment advice. Locuit does not tell you what to trade, when to enter or exit, which windows suit you, or how much to put at risk. It describes what the data shows and leaves every decision to you.

This holds when you give Locuit a trading plan. Locuit will read your plan back to you and will put a criterion from it beside a figure the board measured — “your plan asks for at least six of seven ranking years; this window is six of seven” — and then stop. It will not tell you which windows satisfy your plan, rank or filter them against it, or produce a shortlist. Drawing that conclusion is yours.

Where Locuit does arithmetic on numbers you gave it — expressing a structure's cost as a percentage of the account size you stated, or applying the risk percent you stated — that is a calculation on your own inputs, not a judgement about your circumstances and not a suggestion that you take the position.

Locuit is not a registered investment adviser and does not hold itself out as one. It does not know your financial situation, your objectives, or your tolerance for loss, and it is not designed to take them into account. If you want advice that does, speak to someone qualified and regulated to give it.

3. Trading risk

Past behaviour is not a forecast. A window is on the board because it moved a certain way in every year on record — not because it will do so again, and a long run of agreement is not a probability. Options can expire worthless and lose the entire premium; short positions can lose more than the amount committed. You can lose money using this product, and you alone are responsible for what you do with it.

The single names in this universe are companies that still exist today. Names that were liquid in 2011 and later failed or were acquired are absent, which tilts every result optimistically. Correcting this requires point-in-time index membership data we do not have.

4. Accuracy and availability

The screen runs weekly and the prices behind it are as old as the dates shown beside them. Data may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Locuit shows its dates and its counts so you can judge that for yourself, and makes no warranty that anything here is accurate, current, or fit for any purpose. The service is provided as is, and may change or become unavailable without notice.

5. Your trading plan

You may give Locuit a trading plan as pasted text or as a .md or .txt file. You are responsible for what you upload: that you have the right to use it, and that it does not contain credentials, account numbers, or anything else you would not want leaving your machine.

Your plan is stored against your account, and its text is sent to Anthropic when you ask Locuit a question, so the answer can refer to it. The privacy notice sets out what is stored and for how long. You can delete it at any time from settings.

Locuit reads a handful of key points out of your plan using a language model. That reading is a summary of your document, not a verification of it and not an opinion on it — it may be wrong, and you can correct it. Locuit does not review, validate, or endorse any plan you give it.

6. Accepted file formats

Locuit accepts .md and .txt files, and pasted text. It does not accept Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, RTF, or OpenDocument files, and this is a permanent limitation rather than a feature that is coming.

Those formats are archives and binary containers that have to be opened by large third-party parsers, on a path that takes a file from you and feeds the result to a language model. The security cost is real and the convenience is five seconds of copying and pasting, so Locuit declines the trade. The restriction is enforced by tests that fail the build.

7. Your account and your conduct

Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not attempt to extract the underlying data set wholesale, interfere with the service, or use it to build a competing screen. Do not use Locuit to give investment advice to anyone else.

8. Subscriptions, trials and refunds

Locuit is a paid subscription, billed monthly, six-monthly, or annually. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay; where a founding rate is offered, it stays your rate for as long as the subscription stands, through every renewal, even after list prices rise.

New accounts get a 7-day trial with no card required. When it ends, nothing is charged and nothing is deleted — the paid screens close until you subscribe, and your settings, your data export, and account deletion stay open to you regardless.

Payment is handled by Stripe; Locuit never sees or stores your card details. Prices shown do not include sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where it applies. Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for — no further charges, and access runs to the date you already paid to.

The first charge of any plan carries a 7-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Write to support within 7 days of that first charge and it is refunded in full. Renewal charges are not refundable; cancel before the renewal date instead. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries the card and emails you; access continues while the retries run and ends if they are exhausted.

Support: support@locuit.com.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Locuit and the people who build it are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, whether or not the possibility of it was known. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. Where a change materially affects what happens to your data or what Locuit will do, you will be asked to read and accept the new version rather than being treated as having agreed to text you never saw.
